As part of the HOTHREAT project, a consortium team of experts, led by Safety Core, carried out official inspection visits at three University of Lodz hotel facilities located at Kopcińskiego Street, Rogowska 26, and Rogowska 35.

The visits formed an important part of the project’s activities aimed at strengthening the security of hotels and conference venues against CBRNe threats and other contemporary safety and crisis-response challenges. Their purpose was to assess selected aspects of the facilities’ operation in real-life conditions, review the organisational and procedural measures in place, and identify areas where resilience, preparedness, and response capacity could be further improved.

The practical nature of the visits allowed the experts to directly confront project assumptions with the realities of day-to-day hotel operations. This is particularly important in the hospitality sector, where security must remain balanced with guest comfort, business continuity, and the efficient organisation of staff activities. Field-based inspections make it possible to better understand the specific characteristics of each facility and to develop recommendations that are not only sound from an expert perspective, but also realistic and applicable in practice.

The visits to the University of Lodz hotel facilities also created an opportunity for the exchange of experience between facility representatives and consortium experts. Such cooperation plays a key role in developing solutions tailored to the real needs of the hospitality sector and strengthens the practical dimension of the HOTHREAT project’s outcomes.

Through activities of this kind, the HOTHREAT project contributes to the development of a more aware, better prepared, and more resilient hospitality sector in Europe, built on cooperation, field-based assessment, and practical solutions that enhance security.
