Official Inspection Visit at Hilton Warsaw under the HOTHREAT Project

Hotel HILTONAs part of the HOTHREAT project, a consortium team of experts under the leadership of Safety Core carried out an inspection visit at the Hilton hotel on Skalnicowa Street in Warsaw.

The inspection focused on observing how security-related arrangements function in a large and demanding hospitality environment. Particular attention was given to the relationship between protection measures, operational continuity, and the need to maintain a high standard of guest service. This made the visit especially valuable from the perspective of developing solutions suited to complex hotel facilities.

One of the most distinctive elements of the visit was the opportunity for the experts to take part in a trial evacuation during fire safety exercises. Participation in this activity offered direct insight into emergency coordination in practice — from the behaviour of staff and the organisation of movement to communication under time pressure. Such observations are essential when shaping recommendations intended for real operational use.

The visit also demonstrated how important it is to analyse security not only through documentation and procedures, but also through live observation of how a facility reacts under exercise conditions. In that sense, the Hilton visit offered a particularly dynamc and practice-oriented perspective.

By engaging with a large hospitality partner operating in a demanding environment, the HOTHREAT consortium was able to collect valuable lessons that support the development of more effective and realistic protective solutions for the sector.
