Uniwersytet ŁódzkiAs part of the HOTHREAT project, Safety Core was responsible for the preparation and implementation of a large-scale exercise carried out at the CSK Hotel of the University of Lodz.

The exercise was designed as a practical tool for assessing the facility’s readiness to respond to crisis situations and for verifying how selected procedures function under conditions close to reality. Particular emphasis was placed on coordination, information flow, participant cooperation, and the ability to make decisions in a dynamically changing operational environment.

Conducting the exercise in a facility operating within an academic setting added an additional dimension to the activity. It made it possible to consider security not only from the perspective of a standard accommodation facility, but also as part of a broader institutional environment, where organisation, resource availability, and adaptation to the specific character of users and surroundings play an important role.

The exercise at the CSK Hotel also created an opportunity for practical exchange between experts and facility representatives. Cooperation of this kind strengthens the practical value of the project outcomes and supports the development of recommendations better aligned with the real needs of hospitality facilities.

Through activities such as this, the HOTHREAT project develops not only expert knowledge, but also a practical approach to strengthening resilience, preparedness, and response effectiveness in hotel and conference facilities.
