On 17 November 2023, as part of the HOTHREAT project, a consortium team of experts led by Safety Core carried out an inspection at Hotel DIMAR in Valencia.

This visit was unique because it reflected not only the practical goals of the project, but also the importance of professional goodwill and cooperation within the hospitality network surrounding HOTHREAT. Hotel DIMAR made its facilities available thanks to the supportive connection with the ATIRAM network, and this contribution added clear value to the inspection programme.

The inspection provided an opportunity to work in a real hotel environment and to analyse selected organisational and procedural aspects of day-to-day operations. Access to the site enabled the experts to ground their assessment in practical observation, which is essential when developing recommendations that must later function under real conditions rather than only on paper.

The collaborative dimension of this visit deserves special recognition. The willingness to share facilities and resources helped extend the practical reach of the project and demonstrated how partnership-based engagement can strengthen joint efforts to improve resilience in the hospitality sector.
