hotel bossOn 25 July 2023, as part of the HOTHREAT project, a consortium team of experts led by Safety Core conducted a pilot inspection visit at Hotel Boss in Warsaw, one of the project partners.

This visit served as an early practical verification of the project’s approach in a real hospitality setting. By examining the hotel’s environment, procedures, and organisational readiness, the experts were able to explore how theoretical security concepts can be adapted to the operational reality of an active hotel facility facing modern and complex risks, including CBRNe threats.

A key value of the visit lay in its exploratory nature. As a pilot activity, it provided an opportunity not only to assess selected protective measures, but also to test the methodology of on-site inspections within the HOTHREAT framework. This helped identify which aspects of hotel security require the closest attention when building tailored recommendations for the sector.

The visit also encouraged constructive dialogue between hotel representatives and the consortium experts. Combining operational hospitality experience with specialist security knowledge allowed the team to better understand the specific challenges faced by hotel operators and to shape practical, realistic solutions.

The pilot inspection at Hotel Boss reflected the wider ambition of HOTHREAT: to turn project knowledge into actionable improvements that strengthen resilience across the European hospitality sector.
